What should we bring?

Each one of our trips is unique, but we always recommend bringing sunscreen, a sun hat, or some form of protection from the sun. (Please no spray sunscreen.) A windbreaker or sweater is good to have while sailing as temperatures can be cooler on the water. Also, you may want to bring a bathing suit, towel, and additional food and beverages, depending on what sailing experience you have chosen. BYOB is permitted.

what time should we arrive?

We suggest arriving 10-15 minutes ahead of time to ensure that you are aboard Mr. Badger for the commencement of your charter.

can you accommodate more than six people?

Due to Coast Guard regulations it is not possible to take more than six guests per charter. If you have a larger party please contact us directly and we will be happy to discuss other options.

what happens if we need to cancel our trip?

will we sail if the weather is bad?

Safety is of paramount importance when it comes to having fun on the water. Our experienced skipper will decide whether or not the charter should be cancelled due to inclement weather. We will always contact you to let you know if the charter is canceled.

Is it possible to get picked up in Newport?

Yes, we will be happy to arrange a pick up for you in Newport. Please contact us to coordinate the details.

Do you have a bathroom or “head” on board?

Yes and a private cabin up forward for changing. There is also a restroom at the Boat Yard you are welcome to use.

is gratuity included in the price of the sail?

We never include gratuity to the price of any sailing trip. However, if you enjoyed your time aboard tips are always greatly appreciated.
